Dear Friends,

Our work continues to be hugely busy with many new referrals we are receiving requests to help with even essential items like winter coats and pyjamas as families simply cannot afford these.

Our foodbank remains very well-stocked after the influx of donations at Christmas, so for those who do collect for us please note that we are only really in need of household cleaning products at the moment (washing up liquid, antibac spray etc.)

Many events are now being planned over the coming months. Our Cuckmere Pilgrim path sponsored walk, which we did for the first time last year, will be returning on May 15th and we would love to have as many participants as possible. There are also a number of local events being organised by our deanery committees, so please take a look at our website to see what is happening near you.

Since the start of the year. There have been some very challenging situations, particularly regarding obtaining support for children with SEN where schools are reluctant to commit funding and resources. These cases take up a large amount of practitioners’ time but when we are able to successfully secure support, make a lifechanging difference to the children in question. We are also finding financial hardship really striking many more families, and
